I've been having quite a creative slump lately. This seems to be part of the post-Christmas cycle where I work endlessly on the same piece for so long that my mind starts seeing things on the paper that aren't there. So I end up going in cycles. And repeat. So I'm taking a creative sabbatical in Kigali, Rwanda which was my favourite stop on my backpacking tour of Africa last year. I've brought lots of paint, brushes and watercolour paper and am looking forward to working on some commissions as well as getting inspired to create some new Africa inspired pieces. Kigali's art scene is thriving and I've had a chance to meet many young creative entrepreneurs. I can't wait to see what this trip will bring...
